Heather Webber is poised at a second chance on General Hospital, as her old flame, Scott Baldwin, offered to take up her case of cobalt poisoning from hip implants. He proposed to sue the company producing the implants while trying to prove that her crimes were done under the poison's effect.

That would keep Heather, currently played by Alley Mills, in Port Charles for longer periods, giving the villain ample opportunity to cause mayhem. However, if Heather has turned over a new leaf, as she claims, General Hospital may change her story arc in upcoming episodes.

Some newly indicted viewers of General Hospital may not know Heather Webber's past. She has been a part of the storyline since 1976 and has been in and out of Port Charles.

A notorious young woman who had no qualms about destroying others' lives, Heather was driven by negative emotions like greed and revenge.

A 19-year-old Heather arrived in Port Charles looking for a job. While nurse Diana Taylor employed her as a caretaker for her child, Heather was interested in Dr. Jeff Webber. Jeff was married to Dr. Monica, but Heather took advantage of the couple's arguments to get close to Jeff.

When she ended up pregnant, she tried to persuade Jeff to leave Monica by pretending to attempt suicide, but Jeff refused and asked her to abort the pregnancy. Instead of aborting, Heather gave birth and sold off her son. The unaware adoptive parents were Diana Taylor and her husband Peter.

While Jeff eventually married her, Heather took employment at the Taylors' as the nanny of her biological son. Heather miscarried her second pregnancy, making her determined to get her son back. She planned to turn Diana mentally unstable and take away Steve.

While she used LSD to spike Diana's drink, Steve's inadvertent switching of glasses made Heather drink it. As she had hallucinations, Jeff admitted his wife into a sanitarium.

After a long time, she was released to find Jeff with Anne. Enraged, Heather tried to kill Diana and frame Anne with the murder, but she was charged with the crime and taken in. Although, later, it was revealed that her mother, Alice, had murdered Diana, Heather was ordered a psychiatrist's supervision.

In Dr. Seymour Katz's care, she instigated another unstable patient to shoot the doctor. She was put under Dr. Gail Baldwin's care. She met the doctor's stepson, Scott Baldwin, an attorney, and teamed up with him.

Together, they tried to push her cousin, Susan, to steal Quartermaine's wealth and hand it over to them along with her son, Jason. However, Susan was murdered, and Heather got neither the money nor Jason.

She left Port Charles for a few years, returning in 2004, manipulating Edward Quartermaine to marry her. However, Edward gave away his wealth before marrying her.

A dismayed Heather convinced Tracy to commit her father to a sanitarium. This time, Luke Spencer exposed her crimes, including Heather murdering a policeman, and she was again put in a sanitarium for years.

Heather returned to General Hospital in 2012 when Jason Morgan's wife, Sam, approached her about the criminal, Franco. On one hand, Heather informed Sam that both men in question were twins, while on the other, she convinced Steve to get her released, as she had reformed.

Once out, she started her rounds of causing trouble and chaos everywhere on General Hospital. On one hand, she killed Maggie Wurth, making it look like suicide, while on the other, she changed the paternity test results of Sam's baby, making Franco the father instead of Jason. Moreover, she swapped Sam's baby with Téa's stillborn one.

She planned to kidnap Luke, kill Anna and flee with Téa's baby, but before she could do much harm, she was wounded and went into a coma. Once out of her coma, she tried to kill Olivia but stabbed Steve instead.

She revealed to Franco that he's her son with Scott. However, jealous of his then-girlfriend, she tried to kill Carly. Franco stabbed her while saving Carly, and Heather returned to take revenge by drugging Lucas and Bobbie to frame Franco.
