A recap to Jeff Webber’s story arc on General Hospital

Dr. Jeff Webber moved to Port Charles in 1976, hoping to take over his late brother Rick's job at General Hospital. He brought his wife and Rick’s ex-fiance, Monica, with him, but their marriage was already in trouble because Monica still had feelings for Rick. When Rick turned out to be alive, it made Jeff feel insecure, leading to more problems in his marriage.

He started sleeping with Heather Grant, which resulted in Heather getting pregnant, though she didn't tell him at first.

The affair drove Jeff into a downward spiral, and in a reckless moment, he shot himself, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. This event deeply impacted his journey, leading to temporary reconciliation with Monica, but Jeff’s choices continued to haunt him.

After discovering Heather was pregnant, Jeff urged her to abort the baby. Instead, Heather faked a suicide and lied about the baby’s death, giving their son, Steven Lars, to Paul and Diana Taylor. Eventually, Jeff's marriage to Monica ended, and he married Heather, but that marriage also failed. He faced more family issues and struggled with his relationship with his newly discovered son.

In the end, Jeff left Port Charles to start a new life, leaving behind a past full of unresolved issues. In the 1990s, Jeff's kids, Sarah and Elizabeth, came to town, bringing the Webber family back into the story of General Hospital.

Jeff’s story resurfaced in 2022 when he confronted his estranged daughter, Elizabeth, sparking new drama in Port Charles and adding layers to his complex history.
