With Gabi's release from prison, Kristen DiMera is likely to take center stage in the upcoming story arc of Days of Our Lives. Kristen recently co-conspired with Stefan to help procure evidence to prove Gabi's innocence in return for the CEO's position for her in DiMera Enterprises. She will need to navigate between her affair with Alex Kiriakis on one hand, and her estranged relationship with Rachel's father Brady, on the other.
Newly indicted viewers may be unaware that Kristen DiMera was introduced to Days of Our Lives in 1993. The character was under Stefano DiMera's foster care in return for her promise to marry his son Tony. Over the years Kristen's life has been a saga of broken promises, broken trusts, and usurped relationships. While a negative character in the plot, Kristen DiMera portrays a strong woman in Days of Our Lives.

Kristen's journey in Salem started in 1993 when John Black rescued her from a street assault. Both got romantically involved before John learned that Kristen was Stefano's foster daughter. Things got complicated as Stefano was John's rival.

Promised to Tony DiMera, Kristen ended up marrying his doppelganger, Andre, while John presumably killed Stefano. Stefano lived and tried to continue his rivalry. Kristen learned that John was a priest and could not marry her. After Marlena's exorcism, John was released from his religious vows and Kristen married him.
A pregnant Kristen tried to fake Marlena's death to keep John away from her. However, John went to rescue Marlena while Kristen followed with her mother. In an explosion, Kristen's mother and baby died while she was left injured. Unable to have a baby due to the accident, Stefano hired a Kristen look-alike, Susan Banks, to have a baby for John and Kristen.

However, while Susan tried to get John for herself, Kristen landed in prison for the attempted murder of Marlena. Upon her release, Kristen revealed Marlena had been meeting Her presumed dead husband, Roman Brady, while getting engaged to John.
While Susan's identical sister got killed by Kristen, she tried to escape arrest by impersonating Susan. She married Susan's boyfriend. However, Laura was arrested for killing "Kirsten", while the real Susan appeared to reveal how Kirsten had sold her to a harem. After this rigmarole, Kristen went to Europe with Stefano's help and lived there for some time.
Returning to Salem, Kristen found Marlena and John together. To spite them, she started an affair with John's son Brady Black and they planned to marry. However, when Marlena spoils her plan, she gets intimate with Marlena's brother, Eric. Her wedding with Brady was called off when Marlena played a video of her intimacy with Eric.
As Nicole chased Kristen, she had to flee in her wedding dress leading to an accident which she survived. Daniel Jonas captured and brought Kristen back to Salem and she was arrested and charged with multiple crimes. Finding John in a coma, Kristen negotiated a miracle cure against dropped charges.
Kristen's machinations on Days of Our Lives included kidnapping a pregnant Theresa and implanting Brady's baby within her. After giving birth to the stolen baby in Italy, she had Theresa and Brady tested and kidnapped again to find a matching bone marrow donor for the baby. At the venue, she had a tussle with Marlena, fell into a bay, and was pronounced dead.
In 2018, she appeared on Days of Our Lives again, working with Xander, kidnapping Salem residents and trying to seduce Brady. An explosion in the warehouse where she kept her captives led to the belief that she, Xander, and Nicole had died. However, Kristen survived and disguised herself as Nicole to get access to Salem.
She became pregnant with Rachel. But the baby was exchanged by Victor and Xander with Sarah's stillborn one. Learning the truth, Kristen injured Victor and convinced Sarah to give Rachel back. On the run with Rachel, she returned to Salem briefly when Eli arrested her.
She schemed to keep Brady away from Chloe and disguised herself as Susan. Later she knocks out Kate and impersonates her. She lost Rachel's custody to Brady and tried to blackmail him. however, she was arrested but she manipulated Megan and Dmitri to help her escape. Once out of prison, she hid Rachel away from Brady.
2024 found Kristen in Days of Our Lives, engaging in a power play over DiMera Enterprises with Stefan and Gabi. On one side she tried to make Brady jealous by starting an affair with Alex, while on the other she promised to provide evidence to clear Gabi's charges if Stefan helped her head the company.

Which actors played Kristen in Days of Our Lives?
Kristen's role was introduced to the soap by Eileen Davidson, who played her as a recurring character between 1993 and 2017, and again in 2021. In 1996, Leslie Lunceford played the character for a brief period. Besides these two, Arianne Zucker portrayed the twisted character in 2019, while both Lindsey Godfrey and Lauren Koslow stepped into the role briefly in 2021.
Currently, Kristen is characterized by Stacy Haiduk. Stacy took up the role in 2018 and has been appearing on Days of Our Lives intermittently.
