Mishael Morgan was a former cast member of The Young and the Restless, where she essayed the roles of Hilary Curtis and Amanda Sinclair. Morgan also became the first Black actress to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2022 for her portrayal of Amanda.

"I wanted to take a bit of a step back from the show. I just feel like at this point in my life and at this point in my career, I wanted to mix things up a little bit, but Y&R will always be home and I have so appreciated this safe place to land that they’ve given me, so I know that I can be back."
The actress mentioned that she is in a recurring role, so she might continue to make cameos on the soap. However, she has moved on to other projects. She recently starred in and produced an indie film called Sway.
