Nick Newman from The Young and the Restless was introduced to the soap opera in 1988. He was portrayed by several child actors until being aged up in 1994, when Joshua Morrow took over the role and has played him ever since.

Nick Newman is the son of Victor and Nikki Newman and was initially raised by his stepfather, Jack Abbott, due to his parents' divorce at the time.

Upon returning to Genoa City after boarding school, Nick began a romance with Amy Wilson before moving on to a relationship with Sharon Collins. While Victor Newman approved of his relationship with Sharon, Nikki was more skeptical, viewing her as a potential golddigger.

Nick's early character arc primarily focused on his relationship with Sharon, but over time, he went on to have further romances with Phyllis Summers, Avery Clark, Sally Spectra, and Diane Jenkins.

Nick Newman has been a major part of The Young and the Restless since his introduction. His early romance with Sharon Newman was originally s*xless, with Sharon claiming she wanted to wait because she was a virgin.

However, this was revealed to be a lie when it turned out that Sharon actually did have a baby back when she was 16 years old. Nick and Sharon's relationship further came under strain when she was r*ped by Matt Clark, and Nick became a suspect in Matt's shooting.

Nick eventually married Sharon despite these hurdles. They welcomed a baby, Noah, who was born prematurely. This took a major toll on the mental well-being of Sharon's friend, Grace Turner. In desperation, Grace sought out Sharon's long-lost daughter, Cassier Newman, and tried to take custody of her for herself.

Nick and Sharon eventually got custody of Cassie, and Nick would commit to being a father to her. Nick and Sharon's marriage ran into another complication after Cassie manipulated him into cheating on Sharon, but the two eventually got back together and fought to keep custody of Cassie.

Matt subsequently made a return to Genoa City and s*xually assaulted Sharon, and when she subsequently got pregnant, she didn't know who the father was. Eventually, the baby turned out to have been Nick's stillborn daughter.

As Sharon and Nick tried to repair their relationship once more, Cassie Newman ended up dying in a car accident, causing Nick to spiral into a dark place and start an affair with Phyllis Summers. During Phyllis's pregnancy, the father of her baby was unclear, prompting Nick to claim the child as his own.

Nick then divorced Sharon and married Phyllis as they welcomed their daughter, Summer Newman. Sharon, on the other hand, married Jack Abbott.

Nick subsequently vanished and was presumed dead after the Newman jet crashed, only to be revealed as alive a few months later. He suffered temporary amnesia about Cassie's death and his divorce from Sharon before his memories returned.

In more recent years of The Young and the Restless, Nick developed a relationship with Sally Spectra, despite his mother, Victoria Newman, wanting her fired.

Their relationship was initially a fling, but they developed deeper feelings for one another despite their best efforts. This was complicated by Sally's prior relationship with Adam Newman, with whom she had a child, thus continuing to involve him in her life despite Nick's reservations.

Nick continued to clash with Adam as Sally continued to be conflicted about who she wanted to commit to. The two eventually formed a close professional relationship with each other thanks to being named co-CEOs of Newman Media.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
