Actor Michael Easton played Silas Clay, an oncologist, in General Hospital. The character was introduced in 2013 and was killed off in 2015. However, his story arc remained relevant even after his death due to the unraveling of secrets and his connections with the characters in the soap. That includes his daughter Willow, his grandchildren, Wiley and Amelia, and his former romantic alliances, Sam and Ava.
Newly indicted viewers of General Hospital may find Dr. Silas Clay look familiar since Michael Easton of Dr. Finn fame played both characters. However, the two medical professionals served at the hospital at different times and were not connected by family or blood.
Easton's Dr. Finn exited the soap recently while Dr. Clay has been dead since 2015. However, the General Hospital storyline is accelerating into exciting theatrics with Sam set to exit the show while Willow and Ava are wrapped in dramatic events.

A quick look into the short journey of Silas Clay on General Hospital
Dr. Silas Clay, portrayed by Michael Easton, started his journey in Port Charles after Sam bumped into him in Manhattan. Initially, thinking he was criminal Stephen, Sam learned that the oncologist was the killer's elder brother. She filled him in about Stephen's life and death, and about Silas's nephew, Rafe, who she was raising.
He followed this up by arriving in town to seek official custody of his teenage nephew. However, after being granted custody he backtracked when he learned about Sam's son's cancer. He took up employment at General Hospital and helped with Danny's treatment.
Meanwhile, he met Ava Jerome with whom he had a prior affair leading to his wife Nina's attempted suicide. At Port Charles, he learned that Kiki, who Ava had claimed to be her daughter with Franco, was in reality his daughter from the past affair. Soon Ava pursued him romantically while Silas was interested in a relationship with Sam.
On the other hand, Sam learned about Silas's marriage and his wife being in a coma for 20 years. As they tried to visit Nina, her mother, Madeline Reeves claimed that her comatose daughter was dead. However, in a twist in the storyline of General Hospital, a wheelchair-bound Nina later arrived in town.
Silas offered to help treat his wife unaware that she planned revenge. Soon, Nina managed to destroy his relationship with Sam. After Silas broke up with Nina, she stole Ava's newborn baby and fled to Canada.
Silas stayed in support of Ava through the kidnap and her imprisonment. When she was presumed dead in the prisonbreak, he secretly took care of her. After learning that she had cancer, he retrieved Bonemarrow from her newborn, Avery, and saved her.
After that, Silas wanted to come clean about kidnapping Avery for Ava's treatment. However, before he could reach Nina, he was stabbed by Madeline and found dead by Nina.
After Silas' exit from the show in August 2015, actor Michael Easton rejoined the cast in the new role of Dr. Hamilton Finn. Recently, in June 2024, Dr. Finn also left the show.
