Her parents, Taylor Hayes and Ridge Forrester, also had a son, Thomas, before the twins were born. At the age of two, Steffy was kidnapped and held along with her mother. A year later, her mother was shot by Sheila and held captive by a Moroccan prince. Her father married Brooke, and she lived in the extended family with Hope.
After her mother returned, Steffy left for boarding school. She returned to The Bold and the Beautiful in 2008 and started working for the family business, Forrester Creations. After being wrongly blamed for exposing a scandal, Steffy was fired by her father. She rejoined when she was cleared of the blame.
