General Hospital is one of the most popular soap operas that has been running since April 1, 1963. It has brought drama, romance, mystery, and family conflicts to the audience with its rich tapestry of action, all within the fictional town of Port Charles for well over 60 years. With legendary characters and storylines that never fade from memory, General Hospital has made its mark as one of the longest-running shows on television.

Scott Baldwin is a character that the audience is very familiar with. The character first appeared as a child in the 1960s, while Kin Shriner has been playing him intermittently since 1977. Scott has experienced nearly everything life offers, including love triangles, lawsuits, and personal problems. His relationships with key characters Laura Spencer, Lucy Coe, and Bobbie Spencer have also become an important part of his life story.

As of September 11, 2024, Scott Baldwin has gone missing after spotting Jason at a warehouse. He was sent to deal with a pharmacist tampering with Sonny’s meds and asked Ric Lansing to take over Heather’s case before disappearing. Lucy’s brief conversation with Scott revealed little.

What led to Scott Baldwin's latest exit from General Hospital?

Scott Baldwin's latest departure from General Hospital is connected to his involvement in a potentially lethal scheme that revolves around Sonny Corinthos. Scott was instructed by John to manage a pharmacist named Clement, who had been tampering with Sonny's bipolar medication and lessening the prescribed dosage.

In the process, Scott had placed himself in a rather precarious situation because it involved one of Port Charles' most powerful figures. It was on a routine snack run, that Scott confronted Jason Morgan in a warehouse. Jason was very close to Sonny and constantly batted for his corner.

There was a brief conversation with Lucy Coe before his disappearance which did not give much information regarding his whereabouts.

How did Scott Baldwin's relationship with Liesl Obrecht end on General Hospital?

The duo of Scott Baldwin and Liesl Obrecht made for one of the most memorable romances in General Hospital's history. The most unlikely relationship between the lawyer and the eccentric doctor became one of the fan favorites. They started with a one-night stand, and by the very next day, Scott and Obrecht were caught in the dance of feelings, love, and ridiculous humor.

Their romance met with a major hurdle in 2023 in the wake of Britt Westbourne's death, who happened to be Obrecht's daughter. When Obrecht discovered that Liz Webber was a participant in the investigation that led indirectly to Britt's death (because of one of the Hook killers), she could not forgive Scott for representing Liz. Scott attempted to mend their relationship; however, Obrecht eventually realized she could not stay with him and ended it.

The couple admitted they were still in love, but the tension between them proved to be too much to overcome. On the other hand, Scott's relationship with Lies displayed his vulnerable side.

What legal cases have kept Scott Baldwin busy recently on General Hospital?

Scott Baldwin has experienced ups and downs in personal life but his career as a lawyer has been pretty bright. In the last two years, Scott has dealt with several high-profile cases that have caused tremendous ruckus in courts.

His most recent case was the one where he defended Liz Webber. She obtained immunity in exchange for confessing to her part in the kidnapping of Esme Prince.

Due to the case, he found himself at odds with Liesl Obrecht. The other significant legal fight Scott had was with WSB regarding the bombing that destroyed Serena's Ice Princess necklace. He was going to sue WSB on her and Cody Bell's behalf but Cody dropped out.

Scott last filed in the Deception lawsuit for Lucy Coe. She wanted to take the helm of her company after Tracy Quartermaine made an extremely aggressive takeover bid. While Scott is now well established in Port Charles's legal arena, more often than not, what he wins at trial is overshadowed by personal conflicts resulting from his cases. Motives for vindication drive him to defend friends and to ensure justice. Scott's professional and personal lives remain as complicated as ever.
