General Hospital: Kristina's story arc
Kristina Mikkosovna Cassadine first showed up in the show on October 16, 2001, as a mysterious lady who had been staying with Jasper "Jax" Jacks. She was now ready to make contact with her sister, Alexis Davis, but she preferred hiding when Helena Cassadine, their dangerous grandmother, arrived and posed a threat to Alexis's life.
Thereafter, Jax arranged for Kristina to reunite with Alexis and tell her the truth: she was the little sister whom Alexis thought she had failed to protect as a baby when Helena murdered their mother.
Kristina remained in hiding, but Ned Ashton came forward to assist her, and the two grew close. Helena was locked away when Kristina finally visited her grandmother and promptly told her that she was her mother's daughter. The more serious Kristina and Ned became, the more she was swayed toward a music career with L&B Records.
Things change in the dynamics when Kristina unknowingly tells Sonny Corinthos that Alexis has feelings for him; after that, Alexis ends up sleeping with Sonny. When Alexis became pregnant, Kristina was stunned to find that Ned insisted he was the father. She immediately breaks up with him.
However, Kristina didn't have to wait much longer for the truth, as she came across a partially burned-up confession from Alexis. Hopping on her motorbike, Kristina wants to drive to one of Sonny's warehouses and tell him about his baby, but she arrives seconds too late as a bomb planted by Luis Alcazar blows up.
Roy DiLucca and Felicia Scorpio find the gravely injured Kristina and rush her to the hospital. She hangs on long enough to promise Alexis she won't tell the truth and to tell Ned that she loves him.
She last appeared on August 14, 2002, as she died due to her injuries. In her memory, Alexis named her daughter Kristina Davis, thus allowing her sister's memory to live on.
