Connie Viniski on Days of Our Lives: Character explored
Connie Vinski was introduced to the soap on May 4, 2023, as a meddling gossip in Salem. She frequently reappeared on the show, initially as Sloan's client for a case and later as someone who confronted Sloan. However, the character took a darker turn on July 5, 2024, when a flashback revealed that Connie was responsible for the murder of Li Shin.
Li was stabbed in the back in November 2023, quite a literal betrayal. The suspicion fell upon many of the characters, but his death remained a mystery for quite some time. Now, the soap has finally revealed who the killer was. However, Connie's motives for the act are yet to play out on screen.
Who plays Connie Viniski on the show?

She has had small roles in well-known shows like Happy Endings, Trophy Wife, Silicon Valley, Criminal Minds, and The Office (US version). But her work on Days of Our Lives is especially dear to her.
In an exclusive interview with Soap Opera Digest, published on July 5, 2024, Julie talked about how much she loved the show since she was a kid:
"I was one of the biggest soap fans in the ’80s. I have not watched [Days of Our Lives] continuously since I was a kid, but I did watch it through all of the beginning of Bo and Hope until they sailed away on the Fancy Face. I watched pretty much every soap on television ... I saved all of the Days of Our Lives covers from during that time period."
Julie was surprised that her character, Connie, turned into a murderer but found it to be an interesting twist in the story. She detailed how a stunt coordinator guided her during the murder scene in a flashback and how supportive everyone on set was. Talking about what's next for Connie in the show, Julie said:
"There are a lot of motives, and they’ll continue to be revealed over the coming weeks. You’re just getting a tease that Connie did it. It’s going to be a little bit before you see the full scene from beginning to end, but her true intentions will be revealed, her true motives. I think the viewers will like this storyline and the way it plays out. It’s very well written and has a lot of twists and turns."
