Introduced on The Young and the Restless in 1988, Chance is currently portrayed by Connor Floyd. The character is Nina Webster's son with Phillip Chancellor III. However, he considered Ryan McNeil as his father, as Nina married Ryan after Phillip's death. Chance has been in and out of Genoa City multiple times, as the storyline took him to other places such as Los Angeles and New York City.

Chance's adventures range from being stabbed to being jailed. He fought with his half-brother Ronan, got shot by him, and yet donated a part of his liver to Ronan for transplant. The valiant Chance faked a drug dealer's confession to help authorities nab the real culprit. He also served in the army and the police force.

However, after a serious shooting incident, Chance decided to leave his cop duties. He took up a position in the Chancellor-Winters' company, a career that he might be new to.

On the personal side, after having failed romances with Chloe and Heather, Chance married Abby Newman. However, he had to leave on an assignment, and Abby looked for a way to add a baby to the family. When Chance returned from the assignment, he was troubled and unable to hold on to his marriage as Abby cheated on him with Devon, the biological father of his baby.

A distraught Chance decided to separate from Abby. He went on to have affairs with two women simultaneously, Sharon Newman and Summer Newman. A shooting event brought out both his romantic interests, and Sharon soon moved on from the romance. With that, Chance was free to pursue his relationship with Summer.

In the upcoming episodes, he will be seen adding dignity to the custody fight between Summer and Kyle over their son Harrison.
