Donna Corinthos is a child character in General Hospital, first introduced on September 30, 2019. She's the daughter of mobster Sonny Corinthos and Carly Spencer. This also makes her the granddaughter of Adela Corinthos and Bobby Spencer.

Donna has been played by several child actors since her birth, with twins Ella and Emma Hullen playing her from 2019-2020.

Ava Avendano played her from August 11, 2021, Arya and Ayla Dormiani took over the role on December 2, 2021, and Scarlett Spears has been playing her since November 1, 2022 to the present day.

Donna's parents in General Hospital are Sonny Corinthos and Carly Spencer. Sonny Corinthos is a mob boss and the son of Mike Corbin and the late Adela Corinthos. Sonny was introduced to General Hospital in 1993 and has been played by Sonny Corinthos throughout that period, with the exception of flashbacks.

Carly Spencer is the daughter of John Durant and the late Bobbie Spencer. The character was first played by Sarah Brown from 1996-2001, and Tamara Braun from 2001-2005. Jennifer Bransford played Carly for a short while before her present actress, Laura Wright, took over in 2005.

Sonny Corinthos and Carly Spencer conceived Donna Corinthos on New Year's Eve that ushered in 2019, and Carly found out about the pregnancy six weeks later.

When she told Sonny about this on Valentine's Day, he was initially unnerved due to issues that Cary had with her past pregnancies. However, the two eventually decided to go through with having the baby.

While pregnant with Donna, Carly was abducted by the villainous Ryan Chamberlain, who eventually left her to die in an embankment. Carly managed to climb her way out after two attempts and was rescued by Jason Morgan before she fell back down again.

Donna had a successful birth, despite complications

Donna's birth was preceded by a major medical complication on June 28, 2019, when doctors noticed a buildup of spinal fluid. Donna was formally diagnosed with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele on July 25, 2019, with doctors recommending she go in for surgery two to 48 hours after birth.

On September 30, 2019, Donna Corinthos was born prematurely via emergency c-section. Doctors examined her and concluded the Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele was less serious than they'd feared, though she'd still have to go in for surgery.

Donna managed to survive the surgery, becoming the second child of Carly and Sonny, and the younger sister of Morgan Corinthos.

Since her birth, Donna was introduced to Dante Falconieri after he paid Carly a visit on December 31, 2020. Sonny and Carly would later divorce each other, and on June 20, 2023, it was established that Carly Spencer had custody of Donna Corinthos, though Donna has still been able to visit her father from time to time.

Recently, Donna witnessed the marriage of her half-brother, Michael Corinthos, to Willow Tate, as well as that of her father, Sonny Corinthos, to Nina Reeves.
