General Hospital is one of the most popular American daytime soap operas. It premiered on April 1, 1963, on ABC, and is also Hollywood's longest-running scripted drama. It has received 14 Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series.

Dustin Phillips, played by Mark Lawson, was an important character on General Hospital. He debuted in July 2019 as a schoolteacher who also worked as a driver. Dustin's adventure began after he met Lulu Spencer through a series of fortuitous encounters. They soon bonded, and Dustin became an important part of Lulu's life.

In November 2020, Dustin Phillips perished in an explosion at The Floating Rib on General Hospital. He had proposed to Lulu Spencer before he passed away, but she was unable to respond in time.


Dustin was killed in a bomb blast on General Hospital

Dustin supported Lulu after her divorce from Dante Falconeri as their connection grew stronger, and Dustin finally proposed to Lulu. Unfortunately, their love tale ended tragically. Just after proposing, a bomb blast took place at The Floating Rib, altering everything.

Dustin was killed in the blast in November 2020. He expressed his sincere concern for Lulu's welfare by making Dante swear to take care of her before he passed away. Fans were devastated by his and another character Dev's deaths, which also marked a dramatic period on the show.

Fans of actor Mark Lawson, who was previously adored for his portrayal as Brody on One Life to Live, were especially devastated by Dustin's passing. Despite having a short tenure on General Hospital, Dustin had a big influence on Lulu and the entire plot.

Dustin Phillips is regarded as a good-hearted, kind person whose relationship with Lulu ended abruptly.


Current storyline of General Hospital

On Monday, December 2, on General Hospital, Jason Morgan informed Drew Quartermaine that he would be moving into the Quartermaine house to be closer to his son, Danny. Drew didn't like the notion, especially given Jason's mob links.

Carly Spencer urged both men to reconcile for the sake of their children, and after some back and forth, Drew decided to let Scout stay at the estate.

Alexis Davis confronted Ric Lansing in court after he insulted Kristina during her testimony. Ric justified his conduct, accusing Alexis of preferring Kristina over Molly. Later, Kristina contacted Sonny for help, and he advised her to embrace her desire for vengeance against Ava Jerome. Alexis was concerned after observing Kristina's apparent calmness.

In the meanwhile, Molly and TJ Ashford were having a hard time at their apartment following the death of their child. TJ couldn't fathom living without children, but Molly acknowledged that she didn't want any more kids. As they drifted apart, TJ made the decision to spend the night someplace else, which devastated Molly.

Lulu Spencer woke up in the Quartermaine house, where she was reunited with her son Rocco. She needed answers from Dante since she didn't understand what had happened to her that put her in a coma. Dante took care to avoid giving her too much information.
