Days of Our Lives character Holly Jonas is the biological daughter of Nicole Walker and Daniel Jonas. The character of Holly has gone through many difficult storylines, including her custody battle and complex relationships with other characters such as Johnny DiMera and Tate Donovan Black.
Holly Jonas joined the Days of Our Lives cast as a newborn on December 21, 2016. Days of Our Lives: How did Holly Jonas get her mother Nicole?
Holly was born via surrogacy, and her surrogate mother was Chloe Lane. It wasn’t clear initially if Holly was Nicole and Daniel’s daughter. Everyone believed that the child belonged to the evil Deimos Kirkis. But after a DNA test, once it was made clear that Nicole was the mother of the child, she wanted her daughter back.
After Chloe learned that Nicole was the mother of the child she had given birth to, Chloe wanted to return her. Very soon after the birth of Holly, Chloe went into a coma, and once she came out of it, she found that Nicole was getting engaged to Deimos Kirkis. Because of this, she decided not to tell anyone the truth as she didn’t want to compromise Holly’s safety.
Nicole took Holly and ran away; though Deimos kidnapped them, Eric managed to save them. Holly was also announced as fake dead on the orders of Kristen DiMera. After all the chaos over these years, Nicole finally got her daughter back in 2019.
Nicole and Holly have lived at the DiMera mansion since 2023 after Eric and Nicole broke up their relationship. Though they have yet to form a stable family, the mother-and-daughter relationship remains intact.
The complicated teenage romance of Holly Jonas on Days of Our Lives
During her teenage years, Holly Jonas was first attracted to Johnny DiMera. She had a crush on him ever since they moved to the DiMera mansion. However, this infatuation was just from one-sided. Johnny had a girlfriend and he considered Holly as his younger sister. Nicole made Holly understand that nothing could happen between her and Johnny except a bond of brother and sister.
Holly understood what her mother was trying to explain and decided to move on with her life. She then invited Tate to join her out on the New Year’s Eve. Things became complicated there as well. Even though Tate had refused, Holly took some drugs, and its overdose led her to a coma.
