Aside from Days of Our Lives, Julie Dove has had an extensive career in acting, podcasting, and screenwriting, with acting roles in The Office, Angie Tribeca, and Birdgirl.
Julie was a major fan of soap operas before she finally joined Days of Our Lives as an actor. In a July 28 interview with Soap Opera Digest, she spoke about the soap stars she was excited to meet:
“Mary Beth [Evans, Kayla] Stephen [Nichols, Steve], Deidre [Hall, Marlena], Suzanne [Rogers, Maggie] and Jackée [Harry, Paulina]. I mean, I was excited to meet everybody, but those were the people that I was like, ‘Oh my God. I’ve got to make sure I introduce myself to them.’”
Julie Dove from Days of Our Lives is an accomplished actor, writer, producer, and soap fan
Julie Dove hails from the town of Princeton, Texas. She has an MA in Theater from East Texas State University and has also studied comedy with various coaches, including Lesly Kahn, The Groundlings, and The Second City of Los Angeles.
When speaking to Soap Opera Digest on July 5, Julie Dove spoke of her love for soaps since the 1980s. She said in addition to Days of Our Lives, she'd watched All My Children, General Hospital, and Another World.

Julie's character, Connie, was revealed as a murderer
While her character, Connie Vinski, was initially introduced as a busybody, her relevance to the plot escalated when she was revealed to be Li Shin's murderer.
In a July 25 interview with Soap She Knows, Julie shared her pleasant surprise by this development, which she got hints of when she got updated on the episode count of her character.
She mentioned that she began suspecting something was up when her tenure was increased to nine episodes. She finally found out about the reveal when she read the last scene of the script she was sent.
This plot twist was foreshadowed within the soap itself, as Connie had previously disclosed to Li that she was a true crime buff.
Murder is not unfamiliar territory for Julie
Julie herself has spearheaded a true crime podcast titled True Texas Crime: The Significant Life of Angela Stevens, which covered a real-life murder that occurred in her hometown.
The murder victim, Angela Stevens, was 16 years old when she was lethally assaulted by three men, and her body was discovered in an empty field.
According to Julie, this case was so obscure for a while that there wasn't even that much information available on a Google search. But she's now working with Angela Stevens's surviving family to make her tragic story known.
Whether she's playing a fictional murderer or doing a podcast about a real one, Julie Dove continues to have a multifaceted career. Days of Our Lives is currently streaming on Peacock.
