In July 2024, The Bold and the Beautiful saw the death of two characters at Il Giardino. Tom Starr, played by Client Howard, followed by Paul Hollister, also known as Hollis, played by Hollis W. Chambers, were killed within the same week between July 8, 2024 and July 12, 2024.
The mystery behind the two deaths on The Bold and the Beautiful is yet to be discovered as there are several suspects who could have killed them both, but a definitive name of the killer has not come up yet.
The suspects in the murder include right from very obviously Poppy who also has motives, to one of the characters that the viewers might have not expected.
Both killings caused tension and grief for the characters in Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful. It also led to the arrest of Sheila Carter, who was primarily suspected and sent to jail by Steffy Forrester.

But Sheila was soon set free, due to a lack of evidence and the least possibility of her being the murderer.
The open end of who could be the plausible killer has got the list down to a few primary suspects and here is a list that leads to the motives and reasons that could have led the individuals to kill Tom.
Hollies, on the other hand, was killed during his attempt to unveil the mystery of Tom’s death as everyone speculated that he died of a drug overdose.
The suspects of Tom Starr’s murder on The Bold and the Beautiful
1) Penelope “Poppy” Nozawa
Poppy is one of the obvious suspects in Tom and Hollis's murder in The Bold and the Beautiful as she had her past knots tied to Tom and she didn’t want them to open in front of the Spencers.
She was seen at Il Giardino the night someone spiked Tom’s drink, which she could have done with her special mints, and was also missing from the Spencer house on the night of Hollis’ murder.
2) Li Nozawa
Li Nozawa, who is the sister of Poppy, could have easily committed the murders as she is a doctor and can access the drugs as and when she wants. As Li and Finn were the only doctors available at the hospital on The Bold and the Beautiful, it would have been easy for her to compromise the autopsy reports to save herself from getting caught.
Even though committing the murder seems easy in Li’s case, she doesn’t have a motive that could lead her to kill Tom. The only speculated theory that arises behind Li killing Tom is that he claimed to be the father of Luna and to stop him from publicly announcing it, she killed him.
3) Jack Finnegan
Jack, during a visit to his son’s office, mentioned that he could do anything for Poppy as he admired her a lot. Well does that mean a murder as well? This is still to be discovered.
Before Tom’s show, after which he died, Jack mentioned drinking with a bartender at Il Giardino, which means that Jack knew Hollis as well and viewers might remember that when Hollis was killed, he recognized the murderer. Jack could have done it for or with Poppy.
4) Bill Spencer
Bill Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful who is mostly not likely to go to these extents, might have killed Tom out of rage as he got to know that Luna is his daughter and Hollis became collateral damage as he might have found out the identity of the murderer.
5) Justin Barber
Justin Barber, who is the friend and employee of Bill Spencer, might have done it to resolve Bill’s problems as he got to the truth about Luna’s paternity. To solve things between Bill and him, Justin could have killed Tom to impress Bill.
6) The shocker - Luna Nozawa Spencer
Luna could have killed Tom Starr as she found out that Tom was her real father. As Bill was ready to adopt Luna and she wanted to continue living her current life, which could have been disturbed if Tom told the truth to everyone, she killed Tom.
Hollis's murder in her case came as a surprise as she was friends with him, but as Hollis might have stumbled on the truth of the killer, Luna feared getting caught and hence murdered him too.
