General Hospital: A recap of Elizabeth Webber’s storyline

Elizabeth Webber has been a central character on General Hospital since she was introduced in 1997. Liz has faced many challenges and grown from a troubled teenager into a beloved nurse, mother, and important figure in the ongoing stories of Port Charles.

When Liz first came to Port Charles in General Hospital, she lived with her grandmother, Audrey Hardy, and her sister, Sarah Webber. Liz had a crush on Lucky Spencer, but he liked Sarah. Amidst this love triangle, Liz went through a traumatic experience as she was r*ped. However, Lucky stood by her during her hardest time.

Their connection grew stronger, and they got married. However, their relationship went through several ups and downs, including Lucky's presumed death and being brainwashed by Helena Cassadine.

Their relationship soon started falling apart as Liz started dating Jason Morgan and later married Ric Lansing. Elizabeth and Ric’s relationship also ended due to his obsession to go against Sonny. Liz also had a child, Cameron, from a short relationship with Zander Smith.

Liz's relationship continued as she reunited and then parted ways with Jason and the couple had their first child Jake. Their relationship had problems because of Jason's dangerous lifestyle, leading to a breakup. She also reunited with Lucky several times and they had another son, Aiden.

Liz's life took another emotional turn when her son Jake was presumed dead, but he was found alive many years later. During this time, Liz got into a relationship with Franco Baldwin. Franco helped her cope with the pain from her past, like when she was r*ped by Tom Baker.

When Tom got out of prison and was later killed, Franco was the main suspect, but Liz worked hard to prove his innocence. Franco and Liz's relationship had its own set of challenges, including Franco's brain tumor and memory issues. Despite all the difficulties, they got married and lived together until Franco's demise.

Liz was heartbroken, and this loss led her into another complicated relationship with Hamilton Finn. As Liz struggled with Franco’s loss, she began experiencing strange occurrences, leading her to believe she was haunted by his ghost.

However, it was later revealed that Liz had been sleepwalking and causing these problems herself, which was linked to hidden pain from her childhood, involving her parents, Jeff and Carolyn Webber.

This revelation opened a new chapter in her life, as she confronted her past and repaired relationships with her loved ones on General Hospital.
