After a two-year gap, Nancy Miller Wesley returned to Days of Our Lives on October 22, 2024. Her previous appearance on the soap was in 2022. Nancy Miller is the maiden name for the character often referred to as Nancy Wesley on Days of Our Lives. Patrika Darbo appeared on the soap as Nancy in June 1998 and worked at a stretch till 2005 when the Wesley family was written out of the storyline. However, Darbo returned to the soap in 2013 after a long absence.
She, then, appeared between 2016 and 2022 intermittently. Darbo's Nancy came to Salem to join the University Hospital and tried to augment her husband, Craig Wesley's career as the Chief of Staff. She plotted against Mike Horton, even though he volunteered to help her during her breast cancer treatment. While Nancy employed Ali McIntyre to jeopardize Mike's career, Mike married Carrie and moved out of the competition.
Later Nancy got a foster child, Chloe Lane, who was revealed to be her estranged daughter. The history was revealed when Chloe had leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. As per the Days of Our Lives storyline, Nancy was assaulted by her father's associate, leaving her pregnant. She had given up the daughter for adoption and bribed orphanage staff to keep the child there.
However, after Nancy's father, Albert Miller, arrived in Salem, tests proved that Craig was Chloe's biological father. As such, Nancy and Craig had another baby, Joy, to provide a bone marrow donor for Chloe. After Chloe was successfully treated, Craig moved to New York along with his wife and the baby, while Chloe stayed back in town.
Nancy returned in 2013 to help Chloe get on with Daniel Jonas as they shared a son, Parker. However, Daniel was married to Jennifer, and Chloe needed Nancy to separate the couple. At Chloe's bidding, Nancy took Parker to Brazil till Chloe called her back.

On the November 28, 2022, episode, Jack Devereux disclosed that the strong lady was dating Mike. The soap announced her return in October 2024 while Darbo also reported the same on her Instagram account.

Recently, Darbo's character landed in town again with her younger daughter, Joy. She visited Bonnie Kiriakis, played by Judi Evans, at the Kiriakis mansion to ask for a favor on October 22, 2024.
After praising her longtime friend for her talent, Nancy requested Bonnie to recommend Joy for a casting role on the ongoing project, Body & Soul. She commented that her daughter was stubborn but currently adrift and prone to creating a mess. She hoped for an acting opportunity in the project for her.
While Nancy's request may prompt Bonnie to put in a good word for Joy and push Abe Carver to offer Joy to audition, Joy is likely to get into an unexpected intimacy with Johnny, resulting in complications on the soap's storyline.
