Philip Kiriakis is back on Days of Our Lives to demand his inheritance in the family business. Victor Kiriakis's son was not named in Victor's Will because Philip was pretending to be dead to avoid jail time. However, with that issue solved, the prodigal son has returned to claim what he believes to be rightfully his.

Philip Kiriakis's controversial birth on Days of Our Lives
While his birth year was retconned later, the birth story of Philip Kiriakis was aired in 1995. Born as part of the power struggle between two women, Philip ended up having a biological mother and a surrogate mother. His inception resulted from both Kate Roberts and Vivian Alamain trying to latch onto Victor Kiriakis.
After ending his marriage with Vivian Alamain, Victor moved on to Kate Roberts. However, Kate found conception difficult and sought the help of an IVF clinic. Learning about this situation, Vivian stole Kate's fertilized egg from the clinic and had it planted inside her. She hoped to gain an advantage by giving birth to Victor's child, Philip Kiriakis.
As such, Philip's life was ruled by the two women who fought over his father's affection and overlooked raising him. Despite choosing to go into the military and being named CEO of Titan by his father, Philip's life and his romances created turmoil in his life.

After framing Brady for his fake murder and skipping town with the help of his mother, Kate, in 2021, Philip reappeared on Days of Our Lives in 2023 to smooth out his previous mistakes. While he apologized to Brady, he admitted his continuing love for Chloe. He also attended his father's funeral.
After Chloe's engagement to Xander Kiriakis broke up, Philip left for New York with her. October 2024 found Philip back in town, played by John-Paul Lavoisier, ready to challenge Xander over his rights on Titan.

As mentioned before, Philip's biological mother is Kate Roberts, played currently by Lauren Koslow. Kate was a Salem resident married to Curtis Reed, with whom she had two children, Austin Reed and Billie Reed. However, when an affair with Dr. Bill Horton left her pregnant, her husband dumped her and moved away with her two kids. Kate left Salem to give birth to Lucas Roberts.
She arrived in town with Lucas in 1993 and later married Victor Kiriakis. However, her husband's murder caused her backstory to come out, annulling her marriage. When Victor agreed to remarry her if she could give him an heir, Kate approached a fertility center to have Victor's baby through in-vitro fertilization.
