General Hospital: A brief storyline of Morgan

Morgan Corinthos was born onscreen on October 24, 2003, to Sonny and Carly Corinthos. At birth, he had a dramatic start to life since his birth was concurrent with a shooting that saw his mother injured.

Diagnosed at birth with a heart condition, Morgan has been involved in several life-threatening situations. He was kidnapped by A.J. Quartermaine in 2005 and, in 2007, became traumatized when Jerry Jacks took him hostage.

As a child, Morgan became close to his stepfather, Jasper Jacks, and had many upheavals surrounding his life. He was rapidly aged to eleven in 2009 and became a thoughtful boy who loved karate and video games. He developed a solid bond with his father's bodyguard, Dominic Pirelli, who later turned out to be his half-brother, Detective Dante Falconeri.

In 2015, Morgan was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, his condition led to a string of reckless actions. He spiraled into mania after his medication had been tampered with by Ava Jerome. This finally led to his tragic death in October 2016 when he snatched Julian Jerome's car and the car exploded as a result of a bomb meant for Julian.

His death had some serious and depressing effects on his family, especially the destruction of Sonny and Carly's marriage. It was in 2017 when the truth about the bomb being placed by Olivia Jerome, Julian's sister, was finally revealed.

Their parents, in their deep sorrow over Morgan's loss, wanted justice and closure. Hence, they confronted Ava over the whole disappearance act that resulted in Ava getting badly burned in a fire. In January 2018, he appeared in Ava's dream.

As recently as 2024, Sonny had a vision of Morgan that helped him abandon plans to kill himself. It hit him that he needed to be there even if he failed those who mattered most to him, by his actions. It was the vision that drove Sonny into seeking help for himself, evidencing Morgan's lasting presence to those he loved so much.
