Eric Martsolf joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Brady Black in 2008 and has been playing ever since. He took over the role from Kyle Lowder, who played a younger Brady between 2000 and 2005.
Lowder was brought in when Brady was rapidly aged to a teenager. However, after his exit in 2005, the character saw another bout of aging when Martsolf stepped into the character in 2008. Before Lowder, child actors, Alex, Dash and Max Lucero played a very young Brady between 1992 and 1994. They were followed by twins, Brandon and Eric Billings who played the character for five years from 1994 to 1999.

Martsolf is an American singer-dancer, model, actor and radio host. Born in 1971, his acting career started in 2001. Before that, he performed as a singer on cruise ships, worked as a radio broadcaster and modelled for companies, designers and businesses. His first major acting project was the daily soap, Passions, in 2002. He was voted as a favorite actor on his first soap.
After Passions was cancelled in 2008, Martsolf joined Days of Our Lives as Brady Black. He has been playing the character for more than 15 years now. The character earned him three nominations and he won the 2014 Daytime Emmy Award.
Some of his other projects include NCIS, Spanish Fly, Smallville, Miss Behave, and the soap-based original movie, Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.
A brief journey of Brady Black on Days of Our Lives
Brady, the son of John Black and Isabella Toscano, lost his mother at birth and was raised by his father. He resented his father's relationship with Marlena Evans, his stepmother, and was sent to boarding school. Upon returning to Salem as a college student, Brady misbehaved with Marlena and his uncle, Philip Kiriakis.
However, he bonded with Philip's girlfriend, Chloe, and their relationship turned romantic. Over time, Brady matured, became a good son and brother, and joined his father's company, Basic Black, as a skilled executive.
Brady married Chloe in 2005 and the duo left for Vienna. However, he got addicted to drugs and blamed Chloe for it. Victor had to put him into rehab while Brady filed for divorce. Back in Salem, Brady stood in support of his ailing father and saved his stepmother from a revengeful plot.
Over the years, he indulged in romances with multiple women, including Nicole Walker, Arianna Hernandez, Melanie Jonas, Kristen DiMera, and Theresa Donovan. He got embroiled in Nicole and Kristen's various evil plans during different times of his stay on Days of Our Lives.

He had a baby boy, Tate, with Theresa. However, the embryo had been stolen by Kristen from Theresa and delivered away from Salem. The parents were reunited with the baby when the child needed medical care. Later, Xander kidnapped and gave his and Kristen's daughter, Rachel, to Sarah, under Victor's instructions. Learning about Rachel's truth made Brady bitter towards his grandfather and cousin.
2024 on Days of Our Lives saw a teenager Holly overdosed and Tate taking false responsibility for the drugs, landing him in prison. However, when Holly told the truth, the young boy was released. Brady tried to keep Tate out of trouble by forbidding the boy's relationship with Holly.
On the other hand, he found himself drawn to Theresa despite her engagement with Alex Kiriakis. However, Theresa's evil scheme was exposed at her wedding and the marriage broke up. But, a disappointed Brady drank with Xander's mother, Fiona, and started a relationship with her.
Currently, the duo are embroiled in Sarah's accident after a drunk Fiona crashed her car into the girl while Brady was in a drunk stupor. The two fled to escape arrest but Brady is in the clutches of law and ready to confess. However, he is unable to remember anything from the night.
