The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge Forrester Jr, or "RJ", has been played by multiple actors since his introduction in the soap. The character has been portrayed by many actors as he has transitioned from a child to an adult.

Joshua Hoffman is the current actor playing RJ on The Bold and the Beautiful. He took up the role in 2023 and has played it ever since. Aside from his role on the soap, he's also had roles in Criminal Minds, Girl Meets World, and Code Black.

Joshua Hoffman is a native of Los Angeles, California, having been born there in 1999. He began his screen acting career in 2014 when he played Spencer Cass in the short film Circle. His role as Les in Shameless followed soon afterward, and he continued to act in various TV series and short films before joining The Bold and the Beautiful.

RJ Forrester is the son of Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan

RJ Forrester was born in the June 2004 run of The Bold and the Beautiful, when Brooke Logan went into labor. She subsequently realized that RJ's biological father wasn't Nick Marone, but Ridge Forrester. While Brooke had originally planned to name RJ after Nick, the revelation of his true father made her decide to name him Ridge Forrester Jr. instead.

In 2008, Child Protective Services got involved after R.J. and his half-sister started a house fire due to being left home alone. This caused a custody battle to ensue where Brooke fought against the children's estranged father, Ridge, who was getting help from his mother, Stephanie Douglas. Brooke eventually emerged victorious in the custody battle.

In the 2011 run of The Bold and the Beautiful, RJ's mother went missing due to her plane crashing in the Pacific Ocean. Fortunately, she was eventually rescued and reunited with her son. RJ spent some time away at boarding school before returning to his family in 2016. At this point, Brooke was in a love triangle with Bill Spencer and Ridge Forrester.

Wanting his family to be reunited, RJ convinced his father to win Brooke back before she went through with her marriage to Bill. In the end, RJ and Ridge worked together to create a big heart symbol on the beach, which Ridge showed Brooke in a grand romantic gesture.

In April 2023, RJ returned to Los Angeles and revealed that he was now an online influencer. Ridge and Brook were happy to see their son again, and the former offered him a position at Forrester Creations, with RJ declining as he'd rather find his own path.

RJ Forrester would then work with his grandfather, Eric, in designing a new collection, which Eric wasn't able to do himself thanks to his inability to draw. He also encountered Luna Nozawa during this time, and the two began a budding romance.

Luna told RJ that her aunt, Li Finnegan, didn't approve of her working at Forrester Creations. He tried to meet with Li and convince her to let Luna stay, but Li was unmoved. RJ also developed a rivalry with Zende, who grew resentful after learning that RJ had been helping Eric with his collection and accused him of being a benefactor of nepotism.
