Who is Tate Black on Days of Our Lives? Everything you need to know

Tate Black is the first child of Theresa Donovan and Brady Black and the first grandchild of Kimberly Brady and Shane Donovan on Days of Our Lives. He was introduced on the soap in 2015 as a baby but quickly aged up into a teen by 2023 to speed his story along.

Tate is currently a regular on the soap. His ongoing story dynamics involve his relationship with his girlfriend, Holly Jonas, currently portrayed by Ashley Puzemis. Tate and Holly grew up together as kids but soon fell in love as teens.

The two have been dating despite the disapproval of their respective parents and go behind their families' backs to see each other. Former Disney actor Leo Howard stepped into the role in April 2024 and has been essaying the Days of Our Lives character since then.

Tate Black was introduced in 2015 as the son of Theresa Donovan and Brady Black. Before his birth, Theresa discovered her pregnancy, but then Kristen stole the embryo and impregnated herself with it. She ran out of town immediately after this.

Later, the people in Salem learned that Kristen had given birth to a baby boy in Italy. After much struggle, Theresa and Brady got their child back, and Tate was reunited with his parents as an infant. However, the couple soon broke apart, and Theresa won sole custody of her child.

After Theresa departed with her child, the character remained offscreen until 2023, when Tate returned to Salem. Initially, actor Jamie Martin Mann took on the role, but the character was recast in 2024 with Leo Howard. The character is currently dating Holly Jonas, the daughter of Daniel Jonas and Nicole Walker, on the soap.

Actor Leo Howard took over the role of Tate Black in April 2024. He debuted on television with a role in the 2005 series Monk, where he played a little karate kid. Howard is also a martial artist and showed his skills on screen.
