Vivian Alamain is a villainous character in Days of Our Lives. The evil schemer is currently on the move to take over Titan from its rightful owner, Xander, by blocking the other contender, Kristen. Since her first appearance on the soap, Vivian has indulged in some of the most astonishing evil plans in the soap's history.
NBC's Days of Our Lives is one of the longest-running American daily soaps, first airing in November 1965. The setting of the soap's plot is the fictional Salem city, which showcases the dynamics between the various resident families. Some of the important families in the storyline are the Kiriakis, the Hortons, the Bradys, and the DiMeras.

Days of Our Lives: Vivian Alamain's journey on the soap so far
Vivian Alamain, currently played by Louise Sorel, is a power-hungry character who arrived in Salem in 1992. She desired to take over the Alamain family business. However, John Black inherited it, and she looked to Victor Kiriakis to gain the lost power. Her marriage with Victor failed as he left her for Kate Roberts.
Vivian's evil mind was exposed when Carly learned that Nicholas, who Vivian was raising as her son, was, in reality, Carly and Lawrence's child. Vivian had made Carly believe that the baby died. While the latter pushed for Nicholas's custody, Vivian tried to bump her off through various schemes.
When tampering with car brakes and framing Carly for her murder did not work out, Vivian drugged her into a deep sleep and buried her alive with a two-way radio. After Lawrence rescued Carly, Vivian moved on to break up Victor and Kate.
She stole Kate's fertilized egg from the IVF clinic and had it planted inside her to give birth to Victor's child. As such, she surrogated Kate and Victor's son, Philip Kiriakis, who was born in 1995.
She then married Steven Jones, Stefano DiMera's caretaker, assuming he was rich. However, Steven died, and the marriage was annulled. She and Stefano romanced briefly before she left town with her manservant, Ivan.
When Vivian next appeared in Days of Our Lives in 2009, she tried to employ Chloe Lane to punish Carly. Later, she learned about Victor's then-romantic partner, Maggie Horton, and wanted to bury her in a coffin. While Brady Black managed to put Vivian in the coffin, she was saved, and she put her original plan into action. However, Victor saved Maggie, and Vivian escaped to India with Ivan.
She returned to Salem in 2018 with her son, Stefan Dimera, played by Brandon Barash, planning to take over the DiMera Enterprises. However, she got sidetracked by her other evil plans. She hired Leo Stark to seduce Sonny Kiriakis and was shot while attempting to shoot Kate. After a mysterious recovery, Vivian left town.
Vivian's next appearance on Days of Our Lives was to take revenge on Kate. While her old method of burying alive did not kill her, she tried shooting her victim. Officer Lani Price confronted Vivian, but when she aimed at the latter, Stefan jumped in front and was accidentally shot in the neck, leaving him in a serious condition.
The 2020 storyline found Vivian learning that she gave birth to twins and Stefan had a sibling, Jake. However, arrested due to her attempt at shooting Lani, she faked a heart attack and death to escape prison and Salem.
Although she kept in touch with her son, Stefan, and Gabi regarding her son's mental health, she was next seen in town in September at Victor's funeral. She claimed to be Mrs Kiriakis and took over the firm. She fired Maggie while Chad quit on his own. However, Victor's new will was discovered, and Maggie threw Vivian out of Kiriakis' mansion. However, Vivian shot Dmitri to save Stefan and skipped town again.

What is Vivian's current story arc on Days of Our Lives?
Days of Our Lives episode dated October 28, 2024 saw her asking Ivan to knock Stefan unconscious. Vivian wanted to finalize her son's divorce with Gabi. She made the blacked-out Stefan sign the papers and delivered them to the latter.
Javi brought the envelope to Gabi, which also had Stefan's wedding ring. Simultaneously, Vivian had her son taken to Alamania as a safe house so that Gabi could not reach Stefan.

She was also seen teaming up with Philip Kiriakis, who she met at Salem Inn. When Philip informed her how he had stopped Xander from signing over Titan to Kristen, Vivian laughed that the company would belong to them.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Vivian would go to any length to get her hands on the Kiriakis wealth. While on one side she has manipulated Philip into drawing a battle with his half-brother Xander Kiriakis, on the other hand, she may even offer to collaborate with her long-time rival Kate. However, Vivian may struggle to bypass Jada as the cop looks into her history and reputation.
