Who was Wes Ramsey's Peter August on General Hospital?

Wes Ramsey joined the cast of General Hospital after his wide experience in other soaps and series such as Guiding Light and Days of Our Lives. He played the stranger named Peter August, who was appointed by Drew Quartermaine, Jason Morgan, and Sam McCall to be the COO of Aurora Media. He became Nina and Maxie's boss and asked an eager Lulu to submit investigative stories before being appointed as a journalist.

His origin story was revealed in the plot later. As such, he was Henrik, Cesar Faison's son with Alex Devane, Anna's twin. After his mother gave him up for adoption, Valentin brought him back to Faison. Growing up in a boarding school he had Valentin as a father figure but vied for his father, Faison's approval.

January 2018 plot of General Hospital revealed Peter as Henrik and by March of the same year, Peter published a semi-autobiographical book, The Severed Branch, under the pen-name, P.K. Sinclair. For some time, Peter was believed to be Anna's son despite Anna knowing the facts. She kept it a secret from Peter since she wanted to be his mother.

On one hand, Peter had a significant role to play in the Jason Morgan-Drew Cain conspiracy. On the other hand, he fell victim to Leisl Obrecht's evil plan and was held captive. He developed feelings for Maxie and tried to become a better person. However, he got embroiled in convoluted evil actions involving Hank Archer, Andre Maddox, David Black, and Franco Baldwin.

In 2020, General Hospital Nurses Ball, Peter learned that Maxie was pregnant and all concerned parties were delighted. However, after Valentin exposed all of Peter's crimes, Dr Finn tried to hold him in a freezer unit, a feat in which he failed. In 2021, Peter was captured but he escaped in 2022 Pentonville van sabotage. He held Charlotte hostage to force Victor to let him go.

Later when he kidnapped his daughter, Louise, Maxie negotiated to go to Switzerland with him if he allowed Louise to go. In February 2022, Maxie's mother, Felicia, saved her daughter by hitting Peter on the head making him fall off the slope. Anna stayed beside him as he died of the injuries.
