What is the story behind Wiley on General Hospital? Background plot line explored

Wiley Corinthos was conceived during Michael and Nelle's rocky relationship in 2017. Nelle announced her pregnancy just as Michael was about to end things, leading him and his mother Carly to demand a paternity test, which confirmed Michael as the father. Nelle faced several pregnancy scares, including Braxton Hicks contractions and a fall downstairs, but the baby remained unharmed.

Wiley's character was debuted by the twins Erik & Theo Olson in 2018. They played the character as a baby till 2021 when Caleb & Kyler Ends briefly stepped into the role in the same year. Since 2021, the character has been aged up and played by actor Viron Weaver till the present day. What happened to Wiley after his birth on General Hospital?

Wiley was introduced to the soap in July 2018, born after Michael and Nelle were involved in a car crash. Nelle, with Dr. Obrecht's help, gave birth and secretly handed the baby to Brad Cooper, fearing she'd lose him to the Corinthos family. She then lied to Michael, claiming the baby had died.

Brad raised Wiley at home with Lucas, as Michael revealed that he and Nelle were never married. After this, Nelle was imprisoned for her many crimes before her pregnancy. In January 2020, Wiley was reunited with his mother Nelle in prison.

On February 19, 2020, Michael finally learned his son was alive when Lucas revealed the truth. Carly faced off with Brad on behalf of Michael and berated him for the baby switch. Even Nelle got involved in trying to keep Wiley away, but ultimately Michael reunited with his son.

In the current storyline, Lucas will be returning to Port Charles. He is essentially a father figure to Wiley since he was involved in raising him with Brad.
