The drama in General Hospital is getting intense, with storylines that keep the audience hooked. Lucky Spencer's return has stirred up emotions, especially as he gets ready to reunite with Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Alexis is in trouble, accused of a murder she didn't do, and Sonny's actions are getting more confusing than ever.

On top of that, Anna and Jason are getting closer, making people wonder if they might get into a relationship. But Carly might cause them problems as her life takes an unexpected turn. With Lulu's health in danger and Lucky set to become her donor, the Spencer family's drama continues to unfold.

Despite all the excitement and the drama, General Hospital didn't air on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This was because of the 2024 MLB playoffs, where the Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers played a Wild Card game on ABC. Because of the series' schedule, future episodes might also be affected by the game results.

How many days will General Hospital not air?

As of now, General Hospital will not air on October 1 and October 2, 2024, because of the MLB Wild Card playoff games. If the Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers go to a third game, the show might be off on October 3. But if one team wins the first two games, General Hospital could have a new episode on October 3.

This isn't the first time that the show's schedule is interrupted. Fans are used to short interruptions during events like the MLB playoffs and other sports seasons. The break isn’t very long, and viewers will soon be able to watch the continuing storylines when the show resumes the drama in Port Charles.

General Hospital: Recap of the episode aired on Monday, September 30, 2024

On Monday, September 30, 2024, General Hospital aired an emotional episode focused on family reunions and critical moments. Lucky Spencer (played by Jonathan Jackson) returned to Port Charles right when he found out he could donate his liver to his sister Lulu (played by Emme Rylan).

As Lulu's health worsened, Portia quickly tested to see if Lucky was a suitable donor, emphasizing how serious the situation was. Lucky understood his responsibility to Lulu's life, but he was also troubled by his past mistakes of not being there for his family.

At the hospital, Carly stayed beside Lulu, eagerly waiting for updates. She had a heartfelt conversation with Jason, who returned to Port Charles with Holly Sutton.

Carly was surprised to learn how Holly had put her life on the line for Jason and the group. Although she was glad Jason was back, she felt uneasy about the dangers he had faced. Their conversation showed Carly's increasing doubt about Brennan.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth spoke to her son Aiden (played by Colin Cassidy) to prepare him for his father’s return. Aiden admitted his mixed feelings, sharing that he felt left out by Lucky over the years.

Even though Aiden was happy his dad was back to help Lulu, he worried Lucky might leave again once the problem was solved. Elizabeth tried to comfort him, but even she wasn’t sure how long Lucky would stay in Port Charles.

Fans of General Hospital can watch the new episodes of the show on ABC and Hulu.
