Still suspecting
At Society, Michael was seen telling his wife Lauren about the developments after Sharon's hypnosis and that she might not be guilty after all. Phyllis overheard this comment and came over to talk to her longtime friends, hearing out Sharon's hypnosis story.
However, Phyllis remained adamant that Sharon was pretending and wished to avoid justice. She berated Michael and Lauren for even believing Sharon's story and stormed out.
Innocent until proven guilty
On Sharon's side of the storyline, she started reconciling with the fact that she was innocent, and did not kill Heather. She celebrated Christmas with her daughters Mariah and Faith, with Mariah's wife Tessa singing them carols. Nick joined the famil celebration, having been Sharon's support throughout the whole situation.
Just as the family celebrated, Phyllis barged into Sharon's house, demanding an explanation. She vented her anger at Sharon for making up a story about her supposed innocence. For her part, Sharon maintained that she was not guilty and asked Phyllis to leave her home immediately.
