Taylor Hayes on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful recently returned to Los Angeles on the episode aired on August 6, 2024, with actress Rebecca Budig playing the role. In the past, Taylor has made several exits and returns to the city, but this time the return was followed by the promise of something unexpected coming up that could leave fans in shock.

In the recent episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Taylor Hayes, a renowned psychiatrist all over the world, stunned her relative and co-worker Li Finnegan by revealing that she is dying due to heart failure.
While talking to Li, Taylor also mentioned that she hasn't seen a cardiologist yet. Even though her condition is life-threatening, Taylor is determined to keep her diagnosis hidden from her family and makes Li promise not to tell anyone.
As a doctor, Li encouraged Taylor to think again and share her situation with her loved ones, especially Steffy, who would want to be there for her. Li suggested running some tests on Taylor and gave her a list of doctors who could help her.
But Taylor remained determined, saying she didn't want her family to find out about her declining health.
Even though Li kept Taylor’s secret safe, confusion led to Finn getting to know about Taylor’s condition.
Since Li and Finn both are denoted as Dr. Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful, the test reports which were supposed to reach Li were handed over to Finn by the lab technician Alison, who was lost in her fantasy world as she had a crush on him.

He can tell the truth to Steffy but Li stops him from doing so as this is one of Taylor’s last wishes and hence they should respect it.
Finn had promised Steffy that he would never hide things from her, but now in this condition, he is stuck in a moral dilemma. He knows Steffy really cares about her mom and would want to know the truth.
However, he also wants to respect Taylor's request, which leaves him stuck between his wife and his mother-in-law.
As Steffy begins to sense that something is wrong with her mother, she talks to Finn about it. She didn't know that Finn already knew the truth. This left Finn grappling with whether to break his promise to Steffy or honor Taylor’s dying wish.
With Steffy getting more worried and Taylor wanting to keep things hidden, fans will get to see intense drama, which will keep them on the edge of their seats.
