Recent storyline developments on General Hospital

Recently on General Hospital, Michael Corinthos, Sonny Corinthos's son, was shown being caught in the deadly and tragic fire explosion at the Corinthos penthouse. He was saved from the fire after Jason Morgan pulled him out in time before the entire structure of the house collapsed on him.

Jason was shown preventing Sonny Corinthos from going into the fire to save his son as he knew that Sonny suffered from a fragile heart condition.

Michael was then taken to the hospital and admitted to the burn ward where he was receiving treated by doctors Isaiah and Lucas.

While he was admitted, Cyrus Renault sneaked into the hospital room in disguise and injected Michael's IV bags with digitalis, which caused him to suffer from a sudden cardiac arrest.

The emergency was averted when Isaiah treated him quickly to an unorthodox medication used to treat digitalis overdoses.

Sonny and Carly Corinthos were shown leaning on each other for support while Willow Tait and Drew Quartermaine were shown being at odds with them due to the issue of the custody battle of Michael and Willow's children Wiley and Amelia.

Willow, who was Michael's medical proxy, was shown preventing Sonny and Carly from visiting their son in the hospital room unless they got Wiley and Amelia back from Monica and Tracy Quartermaine's mansion to her.

Both Sonny and Carly were shown trying to reason with the Quartermaines but to no avail.

The upcoming episodes of the show will shed further light on these storylines and character plots.

Fans and interested viewers can watch the show on ABC Network and stream episodes on Hulu.
