Poppy's sister Li even suspected that this might be a lie, but a paternity test revealed that Luna was Bill's daughter.

The plot started to unravel when the homeless man, Tom saw Poppy and Luna and claimed that Luna was his child. Mysteriously, Tom died on stage during one of his music shows when someone spiked his drink with something fatal. Even Hollis took a sip of the same drink while investigating, causing her death too.

It was later revealed that Bill was not Luna's biological father either. After this reveal and Poppy's arrest on the charges of murder, Luna even kissed Bill, much to his shock.
