The Young and the Restless is one of CBS' iconic soap operas, usually releasing new episodes on all weekdays. However, this week the soap will not be airing any episodes on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024. Its timeslot on live television shall be pre-empted to CBS sports coverage for the day, due to Thanksgiving holidays.

The Young and the Restless is currently approaching the end of the storyline around Heather Stevens' murder. Last week, Sharon Newman confessed to possibly murdering Heather and was also doubtful of whether she crashed her car into Phyllis and caused a near-fatal accident.

Nick Newman has hired Michael as Sharon's defense attorney to bring her out on bail and present her case in court. Given that Sharon has bipolar disorder, Nick is considering that her medication might have altered her memories or her actions in the whole case.
However, Phyllis is deeply upset at Nick and Michael for taking Sharon's side. She chastised them both for it, trying to convince them that Sharon needs to be brought to justice for upending the life of her and her family, and trying to blame the whole ordeal on Daniel.
But, it seems that more people in Genoa City have a soft spot for Sharon. Adam Newman approached her and gave her a shoulder to rely on. He told Sharon that she had always been very supportive of him, and the least he could do was stand by her during troubled times.
The current storyline of The Young and the Restless also has some business drama interspersed with the murder storyline. Victor Newman has taken over control of Chancellor from the Abbott family and appointed his wife Nikki the CEO.
In doing so, he has upset Billy Abbott and Lily Winters both. The CEO position was initially promised to Lily, who helped Victor take Billy down only to have disappointment in the end.
On the other hand, Bill feels frustrated at having his company and position taken over from him. In Tuesday's episode, he pledged to bring Victor down. Billy then paid a visit to Phyllis in the hospital to update her about Chancellor. He also asked her if she would like to team up with him and bring Victor and Nikki to heel.
