What happened to Bonnie on Days of Our Lives? Plot dynamics explored

The recent episodes of the soap dived into an aspect of Bonnie's story and how she fell into an elevator shaft at the hospital. Bonnie went to meet with Johnny in an exam room at the hospital. They were blocking scenes for their in-house production Body and Soul. She discussed the specifics of a scene with Johnny, who then opened up to her about his own disintegrating love life with Chanel.

Johnny lamented to Bonnie that he let his jealousy get the better of him, and if he had just spoken to Chanel, the whole fiasco with Joy would not have happened.
