The City of Palms Classic returns with some of the top teams in the country competing in various tournaments. There is the main tournament, which is a traditional knockout bracket featuring 16 teams.
There are also two other bracket tournaments, and they are the four-team Signature Series and the four-team Sunshine Series.
In the City of Palms Classic's main 16-team bracket tournament, 10 nationally-ranked teams, including ones from the MaxPreps Top 25 and National Top 10, will compete.
5 teams to watch during City of Palms Classic's main 16-team bracket tournament
#5 La Lumiere
La Lumiere is a school from Indiana and it is loaded with five-star talent, including No. 15-ranked Notre Dame commit Jalen Haralson and No. 17-ranked UConn commit Darius Adams.
There is also No. 109-ranked Loyola commit Chuck Love Jr. and three-star San Jose State commit Melvin Bell. The school is expected to be a tough challenge and could possibly face Columbus in the City of Palms Classic semis.
#4 IMG Academy
Another school loaded with talent, this one is led by five-star point guard and Arkansas commit Darius Acuff, a pure point guard who is considered one of the best in the country. He has plenty of scorers he could pass to, including four-star Syracuse commit Sadiq White and four-star junior Felipe Quinones.
#3 Montverde Academy
Defending Chipotle national champions Montverde Academy may have had that undefeated run last year. But they do not have the man behind that run anymore, as Cooper Flagg has now graduated and playing for Duke.
Still, the Eagles should not be underestimated as it still features five-star talent from the Class of 2026 during the City of Palms Classic, including Kayden Allen. They also have some four-stars such as CJ Ingram and Hudson Greer.
#2 Long Island Lutheran
After losing to Montverde Academy earlier this month, Kiyan Anthony and the rest of Long Island Lutheran are seeking revenge as they may possibly face the Eagles in the semis for a highly anticipated rematch.
The team is led by Anthony, though it does have a five-star in 2026 recruit Dylan Mingo. They will be backed by other four-stars, including Nigel James and Kayden Mingo.
#1 Christopher Columbus High School
While the other teams have at least one five-star, Miami's Christopher Columbus Explorers will be fielding three for the City of Palms Classic. Of course, this includes No. 2-ranked Cameron Boozer, No. 23-ranked Cayden Boozer and No. 12-ranked 2026 recruit, Caleb Gaskins.
