Four-star offensive lineman and Colorado signee Chauncey Gooden has been spotted training with the Buffs. A clip of the signee from Nashville was posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. The clip garnered reactions from different fans on the popular social media platform.

A user on X, Jason Magni, wrote:

“So Deion really is turning Colorado into a good program.”

Another fan on the platform, Tony J. Richardson Sr., noted the enthusiasm of the Buffs’ recruit to play for head coach Deion Sanders.

“The difference from year one to year 3 is that these players want to be a part of the program and they want to play for Coach Prime.”

A Colorado fan, BroncoBillyBoy, was careful about making any grand prediction about Gooden’s future, but expressed his gratitude for the player coming to Boulder. They wrote:

“Ha. May want to make a few more plays before proclaiming anything. Glad you hear though.”

However, there were also light-hearted jokes about the clip, like the one by Brandon Biddle, who wrote:

“Someone please tell the equipment staff to put the jersey numbers closer together. It makes my head hurt looking at it.”

Who is Chauncey Gooden?

Chauncey Gooden is a four-star offensive lineman recruit out of Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. Gooden is the No. 29 offensive lineman in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Standing at 6-ft-3, and weighing 360 pounds, the Colorado signee has a commanding physical presence on the field.

He was also one of the most highly recruited prospects in the 2025 class, having at least 50 college offers, according to 247Sports. He had offers from the top brass of college football, including Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Ole Miss, USC, Penn State, Oregon and Oklahoma. Colorado beat close competition from Clemson and Tennessee to secure his commitment.

He announced his pledge to the Buffs in June, after a weekend visit to Boulder. He remained committed to the program, confirming his pledge during the early signing period. Chauncey Gooden is part of the impressive Colorado 2025 class of recruits that is headlined by standout quarterback Julian Lewis.

The class consists of other touted talents like the four-star offensive tackle Carde Smith, four-star EDGE London Merritt and four-star wide receiver Quanell Farrakhan Jr. The new class of signees is projected to form the core of Deion Sanders’ Colorado team for the next couple of years.
