5-Star Ohio State University signee Tavien St. Clair, who attends Bellefontaine High School in Ohio, shared an inspirational message on his Instagram story on Thursday.
The Instagram story showed a text message that was sent to St. Clair and the message read:
"Sometimes, God has to put you through a storm to stir up a prayer in you. I don't know who needs to hear this, but just because you're going through trials and tribulations, doesn't mean God is absent. You might not always feel God's presence. But God's promises don't depend upon your feelings; they rest upon God's integrity. #KeepDaFaith"
Tavien St. Clair signing day and recruiting breakdown
The quarterback from Ohio signed his Letter of Intent with the Ohio State Buckeyes during the Early Signing Day period on December 4. He shared the new of his commitment via Instagram and the post was also a paid partnership with Hollister, a clothing brand.
According to an article by Sports Illustrated, Hollister outfitted different recruits such as Tavien St. Clair and Bryce Underwood for their social media announcements.
Tavien St. Clair is rated as a 5-star prospect and ranked as the No.3 player nationally, 3rd best quarterback, and No.1 player in Ohio in the class of 2025 per 247sports. He received offers from over 20 college football programs such as Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Michigan, etc.
The 6"4' 225-pounder is a mobile quarterback who can maneuver through the pocket and deliver an accurate throw. Ohio State has had a history of mobile quarterbacks, and St. Clair can fair well in their offensive scheme.
Ohio State takes the 5th spot in the 2025 football recruiting class rankings according to 247sports. Their recruiting class features 26 commits/signees with a plethora of 4-star recruits and two 5-star signees in Devin Sanchez and St. Clair.
Ohio State is currently the 6th ranked college football team in the country and will face 7th-ranked Tennessee in the College Football Playoff first round on Saturday.
