The City of Palms Classic dunk contest has come and gone, but it left behind plenty of unforgettable moments that have gotten fans talking online.

One post, which was shared on Monday via Instagram, captured some highlights from the event, including a couple of clips, one of which has sparked hilarious reactions from hoop fans.

The clip, in particular, features a player attempting a daring dunk over a lady and the event's MC. The dunk, however, didn't go as planned, as the MC ended up flat on the floor after he was hit by the player.

As you'd expect, hoop fans flooded the comment section with different jokes and hilarious comments, with many focusing on the MC:

"1st time doing the dunk contest and his last time doing it😂🙌," said one of the comments.
"I don't think that old guy gonna remember anything after that," said another.
"Nah, old head gotta be concussed 😭😭😭 he too old to be taking hits like that in life," another commented.

Some of the comments were, however, more particular about the technicality of the dunk, claiming the arrangement wasn't good enough:

"Why would you put the taller guy in the back," said one fan.
"The shorter person should have been in the front," said another.
"You gotta go taller first bruh," said another comment.

While the dunk attempt in the first clip failed, the second clip, which captured another attempt that did not involve any prop, was quite successful. Some of the comments chose to acknowledge the fact that the player was able to pull off the second dunk, with some claiming that he redeemed himself:

"He redeemed himself with that second dunk lol," said one fan.
"Yoo he flushed that second one tho wtf😂😂," said another.
"That last dunk he did was kinda (r)ight, though," another commented.

The player in the clip, who is Gateway Charter's Patrick Johnson, however, ended up winning the slam dunk contest. Other high school hoopers, including Long Island Lutheran's Abraham Taiwo, Westminster Academy's Josh Williams, and Dream City's Jalin Holland, among others, also took part in the Contest.

Notably, 6-foot-6 Columbus High School small forward Jaxon Richardson was also seen getting some dunks in after the contest was concluded. He was seen dunking over teammates Cameron Boozer, Caleb Gaskins and Cello Jackson to the thrill of fans.
