Five-star plus defensive tackle Justus Terry had been a verbal commit to Georgia since January 2023 and flipped his commitment to USC in March this year. After decommitting twice, the blue-chip prospect is now exploring other college options.
According to Steve Wiltfong, Vice President of Recruiting at On3, Terry will be in Tuscaloosa on Sep. 28 for Alabama’s matchup against Georgia. Terry’s father, Juanee, confirmed that they would also attend the game.
Alabama made a strong push for Terry in July after his decommitment to the Trojans and he took an official visit to Tuscaloosa from June 21–23.
The Crimson Tide's 2025 recruiting class is already formidable with 21 commitments, ranking No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in the SEC.
The class includes five-star talents like offensive tackle Ty Haywood, wide receiver Caleb Cunningham and quarterback Keelon Russell. Adding Terry to this group may ensure No. 1 class for the program.
Justus Terry will also attend Georgia vs Clemson
Justus Terry will attend the highly anticipated Georgia vs. Clemson season opener on Saturday. This game marks the 66th all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Bulldogs holding a 7-3 edge in the last ten matchups.
Terry has narrowed his choices primarily to Georgia and Alabama. Despite delaying his commitment decision until the early signing period, the Bulldogs remain favorites to land him for the second time.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball heavily favors the Bulldogs, while the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Georgia a 96.8% chance of securing his commitment.
"Georgia’s been in my heart," Terry told UGA Rivals. "They never left, to be honest with you."
New defensive line coach Eric Henderson has been leading Terry's recruitment. The prospect participated in Georgia’s official summer visits and returned in July for the Scavenger Hunt. Terry attends Manchester High School in Georgia and has expressed a strong desire to stay close to home for college.
"I feel like I have a lot of family members and I’m big on family. When it comes to my decision, I want to be close to my family but at a good school that can still develop me," he said.
Georgia's 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 4 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC, with 22 commitments.
