Three-star prospect from the class of 2025, Kellen Wiley, can shine as a pass rusher despite primarily being scouted as a linebacker. College programs have taken note of his unique skill set, and the offers are starting to pour in.
Kalen DeBoer's Alabama has become the latest program to extend a scholarship to him for the Crimson Tide's 2025 class. Alabama assistant director of player personnel Tony Jones, defensive coordinator Kane Wommack and outside linebacker coach Christian Robinson were tagged in Wiley's post on X.
"Great conversation with blessed @TonyJones_810 @KaneWommack @crob45 @On3Recruits @Rivals @247sports @BigCountyPreps1," Wiley wrote on X.
Alabama's 2025 class looks fierce with the commitments of five-star prospects like offensive tackle Ty Haywood, wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, quarterback Keelon Russell and Dijon Lee. The cycle has two committed linebackers: Abduall Sanders from California and Luke Metz from Georgia.
Alabama has 21 committed players in its 2025 class, which ranks No. 2 in the nation. Besides Kellen Wiley, the Crimson Tide also offered several linebackers from the class, including Keylan Moses, Kamar Archie, Ethan Pritchard, Nasir Wyatt and Jaiden Braker.
Kellen Wiley is ready to kick off his game-day visits
Kellen Wiley’s unique talent has gained national attention, especially after an incredible start to the 2024 season. So far, he’s played in three games, recording 19 tackles (11 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles), one sack, one interception, one pass deflection and three quarterback hurries.
Off the field, Wiley is preparing to visit several college programs to determine his next destination.
"I've got Louisville and North Carolina set up," Wiley said (via Rivals). "Louisville is September 21 and UNC is one of the following weekend for official visits."
Wiley was unranked by major recruiting outlets until June; his talent has now earned him a three-star rating across several platforms. He is ranked by On3 as the nation's No. 31 linebacker in the 2025 class and the No. 53 prospect in Florida. 247 Sports places him as the No. 79 linebacker in the class and the No. 80 prospect in the state.
Besides Alabama, Kellen Wiley also received offers from other schools such as Florida State, Kentucky, Miami, Maryland, UNC, Syracuse, Louisville and Toledo.
