Three-star athlete Brayden Rouse, from Kell High School in Georgia, kicked off his college recruitment journey when Eastern Kentucky offered him. The 2026 class prospect is set to take his steps toward experiencing college game days up close, starting with a visit to Tuscaloosa.

This Saturday, Rouse will be in attendance as the Alabama Crimson Tide face off against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at the Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"I will be in Tuscaloosa Saturday! 🐘

The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off a successful 12-2 season, finishing first in the SEC West Division. Under Nick Saban, Alabama's dominance at the Bryant-Denny Stadium is well known. The Crimson Tide has won their last 56 games against non-AP-ranked teams at home.

Alabama will start a new era under new coach Kalen DeBoer. But the Crimson Tide are still the heavy favorites against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, who finished 8-5 last season.

Brayden Rouse sets his goals for the 2024 season

Brayden Rouse has set goals for his 2024 season after making a position change from wide receiver to linebacker. He will contribute on the offensive side of the ball at wide receiver as well as tight end, and his goals for this season are clear.

“For the defensive side, I definitely want to show my physicality," Rouse told SI.
"Coming downhill at full speed and just laying someone out. I feel like when people look at me they see me more as a DB type of linebacker. I want to show them that I can also hit and get downfield. Make a couple of fumbles and get some sacks off the edge."

Rouse is determined to show his defensive prowess, targeting around 130 tackles, including tackles for loss and sacks.

"Offensively showing my versatility by scoring touchdowns and getting yards after the catch, blocking on the line of scrimmage and off."

The prospect also plans to prove his offensive athleticism by scoring 8-9 touchdowns.

Brayden Rouse's Kell Longhorns kicked of the season with a 29-15 win on Aug. 14. The team has just pulled off a dominant 57-0 victory over Alpharetta this week and is set to face Sequoyah on Aug. 30.
