Ole Miss is making fierce moves in the recruitment race, as the Rebels have sent offers to multiple 2025 and 2026 class prospects in the last two weeks. Three-star wide receiver Kohen Brown became the latest prospect from the 2026 class to receive a scholarship from Lane Kiffin's program.
Brown, who excels as both a wide receiver and cornerback for Waxahachie High School in Texas, received the offer through Alex Brown, Ole Miss director of player personnel. On Saturday, the 6-foot, 185-pound prospect shared the news on X, writing:
"#AGTG After a great conversation with @alexm_brown I am blessed to say I have received an Offer from @OleMissFB !!! @Tolleson20 @CoachDT_TFB @Marchen44 @CoachReynolds23 @SkysTheLimitWR @coachcilumba."
Ole Miss has not yet earned any commitments in its 2026 class. Besides Kohen Brown, it has also extended offers to multiple wide receivers from the 2026 cycle.
This list includes Jabari Brady from Florida's Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School, Devin Carter and Aaron Gregory from Douglas County High School in Georgia, Jordon Gidron from Ridge View High School in South Carolina and Brandon Bennett from American Heritage High School in Florida.
Kohen Brown shines as Week 3's Ozarka offensive player of the week
Kohen Brown delivered an outstanding performance in the Waxahachie Indians' thrilling 37-34 victory over Forney on Friday, earning him the Ozarka Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 3. He dominated with 229 receiving yards and three touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.
With this win, the Indians are now 2-1 and also extended their road winning streak to six.
One of Brown’s personal highlights came during his final touchdown, where he connected with Jerry Meyer III for a 48-yard pass.
“My favorite play was the last touchdown," Brown told The Dallas Morning News. "What I’ll remember most is celebrating with my teammates afterwards. I knew I would get it when it was mid-air. Jerry’s throw was perfect."
Brown also made a big impact on defense, recording two sacks and two pass breakups. His versatility and ability to influence the game on both ends of the field set him apart as a complete player. Through three games this season, he has amassed 412 receiving yards, five touchdowns and three tackles.
"My focus in the offseason was getting faster," Brown said. "I had to adjust my running mechanics. In the past, my push-off was too far up. I do a better job of pushing my feet out instead of up.”
Kohen Brown is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 93 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 75 prospect in Texas. He and Waxahachie will face their next challenge on Friday when they take on Duncanville.
