Four-star defensive lineman, Tajh Overton, received his first offer from Oklahoma State. Since then, the Owasso High School (Oklahoma) standout has received more than 20 offers from college programs.

The latest addition to Overton's growing list of suitors is Missouri, with head coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Tigers extending an offer for their 2026 class. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect shared the news on X:

"Blessed to receive an offer from Missouri! @ChadSimmons_ @AllenTrieu."

Back in April, Overton was unranked in the 2026 class, and fast forward to today, he is now a four-star recruit. He is ranked by 247 Sports Composite as the No. 176 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 19 defensive lineman in the 2026 class and the No. 1 in Oklahoma.

If Tajh Overton commits to Missouri's 2026 class, he will be the first member in the room. The Tigers have been busy extending offers to other standout players as well, including four-star prospects like cornerback Bralan Womack, running back Shahn Alston, tight end JC Anderson, offensive tackle Darius Gray, and wide receiver Mason James.

Tajh Overton opens up about his commitment preference

Tajh Overton is early in his recruitment process, but he has a clear vision of what he is seeking in a program before giving his commitment.

"It would be cool to start right away but that's not my main thing that I'm looking for," Overton told 247 Sports. "I'm looking for a place that can develop me, and a place that can coach me the best, make me the best overall."

In-state Oklahoma is considered the frontrunner in Overton’s recruitment. According to On3's recruiting prediction machine, the school has a 40.4% chance of securing his commitment, especially due to the efforts of the Sooners' defensive line coach, Todd Bates. The D-line coach extended an offer to Overton back in January, which has positioned the Sooners well in the race for the 2026 prospect.

Oklahoma has three committed players in the 2026 class, ranking No. 8 in the nation and No. 4 in the Southeastern Conference.

Other schools in the running for Overton’s talents include Nebraska, which has an 18.5% chance of landing him, Auburn with a 15.9% chance and Tulsa, which trails behind with just a 1.2% shot at securing his commitment.
