On Wednesday, Brent Venables' Oklahoma Sooners extended an offer to Lewis, who shared the news on X/Twitter, tagging the program's Director of Player Personnel Drew Hill, and his school's coach Charles Scott:

"Extremely blessed to receive an offer from Oklahoma University! @OU_CoachHill @coachscott33."

Besides Oklahoma, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver has received offers from Duke, West Virginia, Maryland, Penn State, Florida A&M, Indiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, NC State and Wisconsin, among others.

If Iveon Lewis commits to Oklahoma, he will join three-star defensive lineman Zane Rowe, the Sooners' first commitment for the 2027 class. Rowe committed to the program following its annual spring game in April, choosing the Sooners over Nebraska, Texas, Georgia, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas A&M, among others.

Oklahoma has extended scholarships to multiple 2027 class prospects, including quarterback Trae Taylor, running back Landen Williams-Callis, wide receiver Ethan Feaster, tight end Mark Bowman and offensive tackle Brian Swanson.

Iveon Lewis shines in the 2024 season opener

Huguenot’s 2024 season opener was a commanding 53-13 win over the Eastern View Cyclones on Saturday, and Iveon Lewis stole the show.

The sophomore racked up 175 receiving yards and three touchdowns on eight receptions, marking his third consecutive game with over 100 receiving yards dating back to his freshman season. This dominant performance earned him a nomination for the Richmond Times-Dispatch High School Football Player of the Week.

Quarterback Linwood Johnson, a transfer from Varina, threw for 202 yards and four touchdowns, while QB Charles Scott Jr. contributed with a touchdown pass, accumulating 167 passing yards. Defensively, Daron Thompson and Jayce Bigelow combined for four sacks to ensure Huguenot’s defense matched the offense’s intensity.

The Falcons are set to face Clover Hill on Friday. Last season, the school demolished Clover Hill 75-6, with Lewis posting 135 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Iveon Lewis is still unranked by recruiting channels, but with his back-to-back phenomenal performance, he is expected to earn a high rank and gain more scholarships.
