Running back Jakeyveon Parker, from Macon County High School in Georgia, is slowly getting recognition from college programs, despite being too early in the process. The recruiting process is just beginning for the 2027 class prospect, but he has already received several notable scholarship offers.

Parker's recruitment has seen interest from schools across the country, including Cincinnati, UAB, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia State, NC State and Kentucky. The Wildcats were among the latest to extend an offer to the running back, which he proudly shared on X (formerly Twitter) by writing:

"Extremely blessed to receive an offer from THE University of Kentucky 🔵⚪️ @UKCoachStoops @Mike_Stoops41 @CoachJ_Boulware @vincemarrow @CoachWhiteFB @Hunter_DeNote @ChadSimmons_ @247Sports @On3Recruits @RivalsFriedman @Rivals @MohrRecruiting @MCHS_CoachWill."

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops is working hard to improve last season's 7-6 record and has already been active in the recruiting trail for the 2027 class. The Wildcats have already extended more than 70 offers to high school prospects from the class.

Which programs are in the race for Jakeyveon Parker?

Despite the early stage, recruiting experts are starting to make predictions about where Jakeyveon Parker may end up. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Georgia State currently leads the race with a 19.5% chance of securing him. The Panthers have no committed players in the 2027 class, making Parker a big potential target for them.

UAB follows closely behind with a 17.1% chance, while Tennessee and Ole Miss have a 14.6% and 12.2% chance, respectively. Similar to Georgia State, these programs also lack commitments in the 2027 class.

In the 2024-25 season, Parker has shown flashes of his potential. He rushed 33 times for 223 yards, averaging an impressive 6.8 yards per carry and scored six touchdowns. But his contributions in the receiving game were limited, with just two receptions for three yards.

Defensively, Jakeyveon Parker participated in two games as a sophomore, recording five tackles, including two solo and three assisted. The running back isn’t yet ranked by major recruiting channels. However, if he continues to improve and has a breakout sophomore season, he can quickly become one of the most sought-after players in his class.
