No. 1 ranked 2025 prospect AJ Dybantsa, NIL valued at $3.8 million, may be best known for basketball, but that does not stop him from being interested in other sports, too. On his Instagram Stories, he celebrated US tennis star Frances Tefoe winning his first-round match on Monday against Arthur Rinderknech during the Australian Open.

"dub," wrote AJ Dybantsa in the caption

The 17th-seeded American won the game 7-6 (2), 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-3 after a four-hour match. He notably threw up in the middle of the match and admitted that he might have quit right then and there. However, he fought on and won, setting up a clash against the Hungarian Fábián Marozsán.

“If it was any other, probably, event, I probably would have let it go,” said Tiafoe. “But here, you got to lay it all on the line.”

As for AJ Dybantsa, the BYU commit has been seen watching other sports, including football, particularly during his official visits to various colleges that were recruiting him at that time. However, he had admitted during a previous interview that he does not get to do much, as he only goes to school, does his homework, and plays basketball, having no life outside of the sport.

AJ Dybantsa just came back from a successful campaign at the Iverson Classic in New Jersey

AJ Dybantsa was recently on a trip to New Jersey last weekend for the Iverson Classic. He and Utah Prep participated in two games, winning both of them. The No. 1 ranked prospect was also named Player of the Game for both games after putting up some big numbers on those back-to-back games.

On Friday, the Utah Prep Athletes took on one of the best teams in New Jersey, The Patrick School, where Dybantsa dropped 31 points to lead the team to a very close 78-73 win.

However, the very next day, Dybantsa had a more dominant performance against Ohio's Western Reserve Academy, as he dropped eight rebounds, four assists, and one block during Saturday's big 97-71 win.

Next up for Utah Prep will be five-star Louisville commit Mikel Brown Jr. and DME Academy on Jan. 13. The big one will be happening on Jan. 20, as Dybantsa and the rest of the Utah Prep athletes will be taking on reigning Chipotle national champion Montverde Academy.
