Four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett, from Prince Avenue Christian in Georgia, has announced his decommitment from the Georgia Bulldogs. The blue-chip prospect, who had pledged to coach Kirby Smart's program on June 9 after an official visit to Athens, is now reopening his recruitment.

Garrett earlier mentioned that he was still in communication with Georgia Tech and Tennessee. Following his decommitment from the Bulldogs, On3 Sports recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong has predicted that the prospect would likely commit to Georgia Tech.

According to the On3 recruiting prediction machine, Georgia Tech holds an 88.4% chance of landing Garrett's commitment. He has made multiple visits to the Yellow Jackets this year, including his official visit on June 14.

Garrett becomes the fifth decommitment for Kirby Smart's Bulldogs in the 2025 class, joining Justus Terry, Micah Debose, Jadon Perlotte and Jabree Wallace-Coleman.

His departure also reduces the class, which is ranked No. 4 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC per 247Sports, to 22 commits. The class has several blue-chip prospects like edge rusher Isaiah Gibson, tight end Elyiss Williams and linebacker Zayden Walker.

Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets have 21 committed players in the 2025 class, which ranks No. 27 in the nation and No. 5 in the ACC. It has already earned the commitments of three-star defensive linemen Derry Norris and Kamron Cullins.
