Four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng out of IMG Academy has reportedly shortlisted six schools -- Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC, Florida and Texas.

Owusu-Boateng visited Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State in June and is set to visit Texas next month, according to 247 Sports.

“Four-Star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng is down to 6 Schools,” On3's Hayes Fawcett posted on Instagram. “The 6’2" 210 LB from Manassas, VA is the Top Uncommitted LB in the ‘25 Class (per On3 Industry) Where Should He Go?”

The No. 7 linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class, Owusu-Boateng is the brother of Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. Many comparisons are already being drawn between the two. Jeremiah is listed at 6-foot-2, 221 pounds while Nathaniel stands at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds.

He could follow in his brother's footsteps and attend Notre Dame.

According to 247sports, Owusu-Boateng holds 43 offers.

247 Sports' scouting expert Andrew Ivins said Owusu-Boateng is best compared to former Missouri Tiger Ty'Ron Hopper, who was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round this year.

Among the schools on Owusu-Boateng's list, Ohio State leads the way with 26 commitments. Texas has 20, while Notre Dame has pledges from 22 prospects.

Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng names 3 most important factors regarding commitment

In an interview with On3 last month, Owusu-Boateng discussed his mindset when it came to deciding his future.

“My plan was to always take my time and not rush anything, so I will continue to talk to these schools and figure out where is best for me,” he said. “This is not a short-term decision, it is a long-term decision, so I will take all the time I need. When I commit, my recruitment is shut down. I am a man of my word, so this decision is very important to me. I want to commit and not look back.”

He also highlighted three factors he would keep in mind when making his decision.

"My top three things are education, life after football and relationships. It is a tight race with my top schools and I could go to any of the … schools on my list. The fall will be important to me.”

Owusu-Boateng registered 45 tackles, including six for loss, one sack and a fumble recovery in eight games last season.
