Five-star prospect Jerzy Robinson is one of the most sought-after players in the women's basketball circuit, and for good reason. Robinson, at 14, became the youngest player to win the MVP award at the 2023 FIBA U16 Women's Championship and has clinched two gold medals with Team USA in both the FIBA U16 and FIBA U17 tournaments.

The Class of 2026 recruit shared an Instagram story on Tuesday congratulating her pal and Louisville guard Izela Arenas for her birthday:

"Happy Birthday, my Izelaaaaa babyyyyyy!!! Love Youuuuu."

A few days ago, Robinson earned a nomination for the prestigious 5-on-5 Female Athlete of the Year award by USA Basketball, alongside Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Joyce Edwards and A'ja Wilson. Robinson's mom, Taryn, also shared her delight in the comment section of an Instagram post announcing the nominees:

"For my baby to be nominated with these greats."

In September, Jerzy Robinson sat down on the "Best of Both Worlds" podcast with Flau'Jae Johnson and opened up about representing her country in international tournaments:

“It’s obviously a dream come true. As a little kid, you dream of the Olympics, or whatever it is.
“... Wearing those letters across your chest means something more than what’s on the back of you. Having a gold medal, especially in the Olympic year, like we got the gold medal, it's like a different connection, but then also you sit back and like be proud of yourself."

Jerzy Robinson clinches TISSOT MVP award 2024

Jerzy Robinson welcomed another accolade on Sunday, winning the TISSOT MVP award for her unbeaten performance at the 2024 FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup.

She averaged 20.9 points over the course of the tournament and scored 25 points in the final to lead Team USA to an 84-64 win over Canada.

According to FIBA Basketball's top 10 stories list from the competition:

"It was the moment when the super-talented Robinson not only picked up the deserved and ultimate individual honor, but it also confirmed the potential presence of a possible senior USA star of the future."

Robinson plays as a combo guard and her performances at Sierra Canyon have been highly praised. She has received offers from Ohio, Mississippi, South Carolina and Notre Dame, among others.
