LSU commit and No. 12 recruit in the Class of 2025, Divine Bourrage, will play for coach Kim Mulkey next season. She supported the Tigers through her social media profile.
A famous Instagram women's sports page posted a question, "Who's the best sophomore?"
The carousel had images of Iowa State's Audi Crooks, Texas' Madison Brooks, South Carolina's MiLaysia Fulwiley, USC's JuJu Watkins, LSU's Mikaylah Williams and Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo. Bourrage took to her Instagram story to post Williams' picture from the carousel.
Williams is averaging 15.8 points (on 47.2% shooting, including 38.3% from the 3-point line), 4.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.3 blocks per contest.
Her best performance came in the overtime 94-88 win against Stanford where she scored 32 points, grabbed nine boards, had one assist while shooting 66.7%, including 55.6% from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, Divine Bourrage, the 5-foot-9 shooting guard, received the Girls Basketball Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year 2023-24 award. She averages 19.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Furthermore, she led her school to a Class 5A State tournament qualifier with a 22-3 record.
On September 12, Bourrage committed to the Tigers, becoming one of four elite players Mulkey signed from the 2025 class. The other three are ZaKiyah Johnson, a five-star shooting guard from Sacred Heart Academy in Shelbyville, Kentucky; Grace Knox, a five-star small forward from Etiwanda in Rancho Cucamonga, California; and Bella Hines, a four-star point guard from Eldorado.
Divine Bourrage talks about her LSU commitment
Divine Bourrage had plenty of offers from top programs including Illinois, Missouri, Florida, Kentucky and more. However, she chose Kim Mulkey's LSU.
“I like how Kim Mulkey is with her players,” Bourrage told On3 after her visit. “She’s really loving with them, and I feel that’s what a player needs. Then I’m heavy on the family aspect, and I think that’s what stood out the most.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a big Kim Mulkey fan for a long time, so when they hit me up and offered me, I almost cried about that. I’ve talked to coach Mulkey a lot over the phone, and she’s big on family, so it makes sense she’s like that with her players.”
Kim Mulkey secured the No. 1-ranked class with top recruits for the second time in three seasons.
