The news of the Boozer twins' decision to commit to Duke has sent the basketball world abuzz and several big names have reacted to the big news, including Caleb Wilson. The 6-9 recruit commented on their announcement video, congratulating the brothers.
"Congrats," commented Caleb Wilson.
Wilson, who plays for Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Atlanta Georgia, is ranked No. 5 by 247SPORTS Composite and its No. 3 ranked power forward for the class of 2025. He is also the No. 1 ranked player in the state of Georgia.
The 5-star power forward is considered a player who could do things on both ends of the floor. He has already played 69 games for his school, averaging a double-double with 17.9 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. He also averages 1.5 steals, 4.1 blocks, and 4.1 assists per game.
While the Boozers have already made their decision on where they should go, Wilson remains undecided. Recently, however, he visited Duke's biggest rival, North Carolina, and the Boozers also reacted to photos from that visit by complimenting the chain he wore during a photoshoot.
The Boozers recently received much love for their decision to go to Duke, including receiving praise from their father, former NBA All-Star and Duke basketball legend, Carlos Boozer.
They also received congratulations from Michigan State freshman star Jase Richardson, the son of former NBA dunk contest champion Jason Richardson, as well as fellow high school basketball star Isaac Ellis.
Caleb Wilson's father talks about recent North Carolina visit
During Wilson's visit to Chapel Hill on October 6, his father, Jerry Wilson, spoke with basketball insider Adam Zagoria and opened up about what he thought of the trip.
"The visit was short and sweet; we were there on Saturday only. That campus is just picturesque. We got to ask some tough questions of the coaches and players, then see them live in action at practice. It was impressive, and the pace and energy were thrilling. We received all the answers needed from the visit," he said.
It is not just North Carolina that is recruiting Wilson, as his final 12 choices also include Georgia Tech, UCF, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio State, Oregon, and USC. He has already turned down offers from Duke, Baylor, Stanford, Kansas, and more.
Should Caleb Wilson pick North Carolina, however, he will get to play against the Boozers in what is considered one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports, as the eternal rivalry between the Tar Heels and the Blue Devils continues.
